Product Description

LNG is the abbreviation for liquefied natural gas, and liquefied natural gas transport vehicles are abbreviated as LNG transport vehicles.

1.Under atmospheric pressure, the boiling point of LNG is around 162 ºC. At this low temperature, the density of LNG vapor is higher than that of ambient air. Usually, LNG is stored as a boiling liquid in an insulated storage tank, and any heat transferred into the tank will cause a certain amount of liquid to evaporate into gas. Generally, evaporated gas contains 20% N2, 80% CH4, and trace amounts of C2H6. When the evaporation temperature is below -113 ºC, its composition is almost pure CH4. When the temperature rises to -85 ºC or CH4 contains about 20% N22, in both cases, the evaporation gas density is greater than air. Under standard conditions, the density of evaporated gas is only 60% of that of air.

2. The density ratio of liquid to gas is 1 volume higher. The density of liquefied natural gas is approximately 600 times that of 1 volume of gaseous natural gas, which means that 1 volume of LNG can be roughly converted into 600 volumes of gas.
3.Under general combustible environmental conditions, clouds mixed with natural gas and air with a natural gas content in the range of 5% to 15% (volume fraction) can cause ignition, with a minimum lower flammable limit (LEL) of 4%. The natural gas in the free cloud cluster is in a low-speed combustion state, and the pressure formed inside the cloud cluster is less than 5kPa, which generally does not cause significant explosion hazards. But if the surrounding space is limited, there is a possibility of high pressure waves forming inside the cloud cluster.

Principles of LNG transportation
After transporting LNG from the gas source to the LNG supply station in the city, the tank truck's storage tank is pressurized to 0.6 MPa using the air temperature booster gasifier on the tank truck (or the tank truck is pressurized by the unloading booster gasifier set up inside the station). At the same time, reduce the pressure of the storage tank to about 0.4MPa, creating a pressure difference of about 0.2MPa between the tank truck and the LNG storage tank. Use this pressure difference to unload the LNG in the tank truck into the gas supply station storage tank. At the end of unloading, recover the natural gas from the tank truck through the gas-phase pipeline on the unloading platform.

The transportation carriers for liquefied natural gas (LNG) include liquefied natural gas tankers and tank containers, both of which have similar main structures. Tank containers are mainly used for multimodal transportation to facilitate tank loading and unloading. The products produced by professional manufacturers of liquefied natural gas transport tankers and tank containers are inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Pressure Vessels, Low Temperature Insulated Pressure Vessels (GB 18442-2001), and Liquefied Natural Gas Tank Containers (JB/T4780-2002). The tank body is a high vacuum multi-layer insulated storage tank, and its insulation performance directly determines the pressure inside the tank. If the insulation performance is poor, the pressure inside the tank will be unstable, which will seriously affect the safety of transportation.
Analysis of the structure of liquefied natural gas tankers reveals that safety hazards mainly lie in the presence of a large number of valves and joints in the rear operating box, such as safety valves, liquid phase valves, vent valves, etc. These valves are directly connected to the tank. If any valve has a problem, it may cause leakage of liquefied natural gas.
